Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is to enable students to acquire fundamental knowledge of the normal functioning mechanisms of the human body.

Course Content:

Physiology of homeostasis and the cell membrane,
Excitable tissues,
Physiological importance and properties of blood,
Functions and physiological properties of the heart and blood vessels,
Function of the lungs in respiration and transport of respiratory gases in the blood,
Functions of the nervous system and physiology of the sense organs,
Functions of the digestive system,
Hormones and functions of the endocrine organs,
The kidneys and excretory function.

1) Describes the basic physiological systems of the human body (cardiovascular, respiratory, nervous, musculoskeletal, endocrine) and explains their functions.
2) Explains the concept of homeostasis and the role of the systems in maintaining physiological balance.
3) Knows the normal values of physiological parameters (pulse, blood pressure, respiratory rate, etc.) and explains their clinical significance.
