Aim of the Programme

The Anesthesia Program aims to train qualified technical personnel who can work in units such as operating rooms, resuscitation, and emergency services. The program aims to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to fulfill responsibilities such as preparing the clinical environment to assist the anesthesiologist, operating and maintaining medical devices and equipment, and preparing them for the next use. It also aims to enable students to keep up with current developments in the field and reflect these innovations in their professional practice.

The Anesthesia Program Program Education Objectives
Objectives for PEO–1
• Objective 1.1: Ability to analyze the patient's physical condition during preoperative assessment processes, identify risk factors, and convey accurate information to the anesthesia team.
• Objective 1.2: Work in harmony with the anesthesiologist and surgical team to effectively fulfill one's role within the team at every stage of anesthesia administration.
Objectives for PEO–2
• Objective 2.1: Correctly prepare, use, and maintain anesthesia machines, ventilators, monitoring equipment, and auxiliary medical technologies.
• Objective 2.2: Manage drugs, materials, and equipment in accordance with operating room safety protocols; apply sterilization and asepsis rules.
PEO–3 Objectives
• Objective 3.1: Being able to make quick and effective decisions in airway management, basic and advanced life support applications, emergency anesthesia interventions, and case management.
• Objective 3.2: Being able to detect complications that may arise during surgery early on and perform appropriate interventions under the guidance of the anesthesiologist.

Goals for PEA–4
• Goal 4.1: Develop the ability to actively participate in scientific meetings, seminars, simulation training, and professional events throughout the duration of the program.
• Objective 4.2: To make it a habit to follow professional development activities, certification programs, and scientific publications with a lifelong learning mindset after graduation.
PEA–5 Objectives
• Objective 5.1: Correctly implement patient safety protocols, universal safety steps, and complication prevention procedures in the operating room.
• Objective 5.2: Contribute to the coordination of the surgical process by establishing effective, open, and professional communication with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
