Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To provide the student with knowledge and skills about the application of general anesthesia.
Course Content: Definition of anesthesia and introduction of working areas such as operating room and polyclinic; Pre-anesthesia patient evaluation principles; Basic monitarization; Patient records; Basic and advanced airway control methods; Peripheral and central vascular access techniques; Serum, blood and blood products; Sedoanalgesia; Anesthesia induction; Postoperative recovery and complications.

1) Explain the patient evaluation before general anesthesia.
2) Lists the material and makes patient preparation before general anesthesia.
3) Counts the steps necessary to monitor the patient.
4) Defines the induction application. Explains the maintenance of anesthesia in general anesthesia.
5) Lists the procedures to ensure airway patency. Counts the steps of endotracheal intubation. Tells the alternative airway methods.
6) Counts the necessary steps to end general anesthesia.
7) Defines the complications that may occur during and after anesthesia.
