Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide basic information about the normal functioning mechanisms of the human body.
Course Content: Homeostasis and cell membrane knowledge; knowledge of inducible tissues; physiological importance and properties of blood; functions and physiological features of the heart and vessels; lung function in respiration and transport of respiratory gases in the blood; nervous system functions and sensory organs physiology; digestive system functions; hormones and functions of endocrine organs; kidneys and excretory function

Theoretical - Conceptual
1) Knows the concept of homeostasis, can tell the examples in the body. Knows cell membrane structure and can explain substance transport.
2) Knows and can explain the contraction mechanism of the muscles.
3) Knows the pumping function of the heart and its electrophysiological infrastructure. Can describe cardiac cycle stages and distinguish heart sounds. Has knowledge about arteries, veins and capillaries and can compare with each other. Knows the factors regulating blood pressure. Has information about blood pressure measurement.
4) Knows the function of the respiratory tract, describes the mechanisms of inspiration and expiration mechanisms, spirometry and lung volumes. Describes gas exchange in the blood with pulmonary circulation.
5) Outlines the general organization of the nervous system and the functional anatomy and basic functions of the central nervous system.
6) Describes the major motility, secretion and reabsorption functions that occur along the digestive tract. Knows the endocrine structures in the body. Describes the hormones secreted by these structures and the functions of these hormones.
7) Describes the nephron and describes the major processes that take place along the nephron during urine formation. Knows bladder control mechanisms and describes urine excretion.

13) Graduates know the laws, regulations, legislation and professional ethical rules regarding their duties, rights and responsibilities as Anesthesiologist and act in accordance with these rules.
14) Graduates are aware of the duties and responsibilities of the anesthesia technician, have sufficient knowledge and skills, keep patient caregivers and people at the forefront, can perform active teamwork together with effective communication, and aim to constantly learn and improve the consumed information.
