Course Objectives: | To transfer the theoretical and practical knowledge about the cellular manufacturing systems to the students. To explain the main knowledges in the cellular manufacturing systems. |
Course Content: | Introduction to cellular manufacturing, Layout design for cellular manufacturing, Scheduling cellular manufacturing systems, Flexibility considerations in cell design, Quality control in cellular manufacturing, Organizational issues in cellular manufacturing, Project management and implementation of cellular manufacturing, Design and implementation of lean manufacturing, Cases in cellular manufacturing, Plantwide conversion to cellular manufacturing. |
