Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To ensure that students who learn the basic principles of nutrition in special situations and diseases can give education to these special groups.
Course Content: Definition and principles of education, determining goals and behavior in education, educational methods and tools, features of adult education, features of children's education

Theoretical - Conceptual
1) He/she uses the basic and professional knowledge required by the dietitian profession effectively throughout his/her professional life.
2) Identifies, defines, interprets, decides and solves problems that may be encountered in different fields of Nutrition and Dietetics.
3) Uses the acquired knowledge to improve the health level and quality of life of the society.
4) By using accurate and reliable information and information technologies in self-development in her field, she/he follows the latest developments in her/his field and constantly improves herself.
5) Using the current knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, he/she chooses and applies appropriate evidence-based intervention approaches by using analytical thinking in the problems (case, event, equipment, product, etc.).
6) Acts in accordance with the professional ethics awareness within the legal framework regarding his duties, rights and responsibilities. He sets an example for his colleagues and the society.
7) By using her professional knowledge and skills in accordance with the basic values and culture of the society, she/he acquires the ability to communicate verbally and in writing on professional issues at national and international level.
8) Has the ability to work effectively with a national and international disciplinary or interdisciplinary team or independently, to take responsibility, to plan scientific studies, to collect data, to analyze results, to interpret, and to report verbally and in writing.
9) With the help of the knowledge she has acquired, she can carry out her work independently, take individual responsibility for solving the problems encountered in practice and cooperate with other members of the health team.

1) Have sufficient knowledge in the field of primary health and the profession of Nutrition and Dietetics, and have the ability to use their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
2) Takes at least two out-of-field courses in training programs.
3) Gain the ability to design experiments/field studies on discipline-specific issues, collect data, analyze, interpret and report results.
4) Ability to detect, define, interpret, formulate and solve problems in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics; For this purpose, it selects and applies appropriate analysis and intervention approaches.
5) Understand and interpret a process, event, case, equipment or product, and solve related problems with a holistic perspective and contemporary methods.
6) Ability to develop, select and use up-to-date and functional tools required for field applications, as well as use information technologies effectively.
7) Develops a positive attitude towards lifelong learning and turns it into behavior.
8) Communicates verbally and in writing in Turkish on professional matters at national and international levels by using professional knowledge and skills.
9) Has awareness of the universal and social effects and legal consequences of applications in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
