Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To provide theoretical knowledge and practical applications in medical nutrition treatment of various adult diseases and to gain experience.
Course Content: Kidney diseases, digestive system diseases, neurological diseases, inflammation and infectious diseases, immune system diseases, rheumatic diseases s pathophysiological processes, diagnosis and treatment and nutritional therapies, menu planning and dietary recommendations suitable for the disease, prevention from cancer, nutritional treatments of patients with cancer, baratric surgery and nutritional therapy, allergies and food intolerance

1) Understands the pathophysiological processes, diagnosis and treatments of some adult diseases and establishes their relationship with nutrition.
2) List the medical diet therapy principles of some adult diseases.
3) Calculates disease and patient specific energy and nutrient requirements in some adult diseases
4) Determines the nutritional status of the patient in some adult diseases
5) Makes medical diet therapy solutions specific to some adult diseases.
6) Writes and applies menus and dietary suggestions suitable for dietary solutions of some adult diseases.

1) Have sufficient knowledge in the field of primary health and the profession of Nutrition and Dietetics, and have the ability to use their theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
2) Takes at least two out-of-field courses in training programs.
3) Gain the ability to design experiments/field studies on discipline-specific issues, collect data, analyze, interpret and report results.
4) Ability to detect, define, interpret, formulate and solve problems in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics; For this purpose, it selects and applies appropriate analysis and intervention approaches.
5) Understand and interpret a process, event, case, equipment or product, and solve related problems with a holistic perspective and contemporary methods.
6) Ability to develop, select and use up-to-date and functional tools required for field applications, as well as use information technologies effectively.
7) Develops a positive attitude towards lifelong learning and turns it into behavior.
