Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course introduces students to the history of literature in the English language, from the Anglo-Saxon period in the British Isles to contemporary works. Organized around works representing major periods, movements, and places in literary history and supported by historical information and documents, the course focuses on defining English as a literary language, the author’s status and role in society, and the interpretation of literary texts.
Course Content: Specific periods in the history of English literature and the analysis of the most important works of the period.
