General Information

The Faculty of Dentistry at Istanbul Atlas University offers a comprehensive educational program designed to train competent dental professionals in accordance with national and international standards. The program aims to provide students with a strong foundation in basic medical sciences, basic dental sciences, and clinical dental sciences, while fostering the knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes required for contemporary dental practice.

Oral health is an integral component of general health and well-being. Accordingly, the dental curriculum is structured to equip students with the competencies necessary to promote oral health, prevent disease, diagnose oral conditions, and provide evidence-based treatment. The program integrates scientific knowledge, clinical practice, technological innovation, and professional ethics throughout the educational process.

The Faculty provides a modern learning environment supported by technologically advanced classrooms, preclinical simulation laboratories, digital dentistry facilities, and fully equipped clinical settings. Contemporary educational technologies, including digital workflows, computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems, three-dimensional imaging technologies, and current diagnostic and therapeutic approaches, are incorporated into the curriculum.

Students are introduced to professional competencies from the early years of their education through laboratory-based and simulation-supported training. Following the completion of preclinical education, they participate in supervised clinical practice, where they gain experience in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical management. Clinical training is conducted within the university’s modern oral and dental health facilities, enabling students to acquire extensive hands-on experience with diverse patient populations and clinical conditions.

The program promotes an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare education and supports the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and lifelong learning skills. Graduates are expected to provide patient-centered, evidence-based oral healthcare services while adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards.
