Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To know the development of teeth and the differences between primary and permanent teeth. To understand the psychological development and behavior management techniques in pediatric patients.
To know the development of teeth and the factors affecting it. To understand the developmental disorders of teeth. To define the histological and morphological features of primary and permanent teeth, to know the differences between them and to comprehend the effect of treatment. To know the psychological development in children and to be familiar with the behavioral orientation techniques that can be applied in the clinic.
Course Content: Dental embryology, chronology, eruption. Tooth morphology and histology. Tooth development anomalies. Oral hygiene habits, mechanical and chemical teeth cleaning. Fluoride and fissure sealant applications, nutrition and caries relationship. Formation and spread of caries in children. Caries risk assessment.
