Course Objectives: | This course aims to study the works and literary achievements of women writers and examines to what extent literature mirrors historical and social attitudes/prejudice with particular emphasis on the gender roles, women images, and concerns of women as expressed in literature. |
Course Content: | This course explores the works of British, Irish, American and Turkish women writers with particular emphasis on the geo-political, historical and social background of their home countries. |
