Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course is designed to develop an appreciation of literature through the study of two forms: Short Story and the Novel.

The course also aims to teach various key elements of these two literary genres by identifying and discussing their specific characteristics within selected short stories and a sample novel.
Course Content: Elements of Fiction, basic chracteristics of a short story and a novel and some of the well-known examples from English and American literature

4) Have advanced knowledge of English language, its morphology and function in written and spoken forms, and capability of using it effectively in academic and professional environments.
5) Have theoretical and practical knowledge and ability required for the translation of various texts from English to Turkish and vice versa.
