Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is; To reveal the kinetic and biomechanical properties of the human body underlying the mobility by using physics.
Course Content: Introduction to kinesiology and definitions; Basic concepts and principles of motion in kinesiology, strength, muscle tissue properties and biomechanics; Joint Kinematics, properties and biomechanics of cartilage tissue, tendons and ligaments; Bone tissue properties and biomechanics; Central nervous system elements providing coordination; Adverse effects of posture and immobilization; Spine kinesiology and biomechanics; Kinesiology and biomechanics of the shoulder, elbow, hand-wrist, hip, knee, foot-ankle joints; Gait Analysis.

1) Has a good command of kinesiology terminology.
2) Knows the basic laws and principles of movement, knows the functions of the muscles-bones and joints in the human body.
3) Knows the kinesiology of spine, shoulder, elbow, hand, wrist, hip, knee, foot and ankle.
4) Makes a simple kinesiological analysis of walking. Knows the phases of walking. Has an idea about walking disorders.

8) Graduates have knowledge of electrotherapy program, massage applications and basic health protective exercise applications used in healthy, disabled and individuals who require physiotherapy. Graduates can apply these practices under the supervision of a physiotherapist and/or physician when necessary.
9) Graduates know the laws, regulations, legislation and professional ethical rules regarding their duties, rights and responsibilities as a Physiotherapy Technician and act in accordance with these rules.
10) Graduates can inform the relevant people and institutions by using their basic knowledge and skills in the field of physiotherapy.
11) Graduates can follow current developments in their field and discuss with their colleagues using a foreign language.
12) Graduates can work as a team member to solve unforeseen and complex problems encountered in applications related to the field of physiotherapy.
13) Graduates can critically evaluate the basic knowledge and skills acquired in the field of physiotherapy.
