Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is; To give basic massage knowledge to students theoretically and practically, to come to the competence to perform massage applications to healthy people and to gain the ability to do these applications under the supervision of a physiatrist or physiotherapist to the patients.
Course Content: Introduction of the course; Transferring the information about the effect mechanisms of massage and different massage types; Determination of dosage adjustment in massage, different application techniques in massage, indications and contraindications of massage; Correct positioning and introduction to classical massage; Classical massage applications for the back area; Classical massage applications for the neck area; Classical massage applications for the abdominal area; Classical massage applications for shoulder girdle, arm, forearm, wrist, hand and fingers; Classical massage application to the hip area, thigh, calf, ankle, toes and fingers; To give information about aromatherapy and sports massage.

9) Graduates know the laws, regulations, legislation and professional ethical rules regarding their duties, rights and responsibilities as a Physiotherapy Technician and act in accordance with these rules.
10) Graduates can inform the relevant people and institutions by using their basic knowledge and skills in the field of physiotherapy.
11) Graduates can follow current developments in their field and discuss with their colleagues using a foreign language.
12) Graduates can work as a team member to solve unforeseen and complex problems encountered in applications related to the field of physiotherapy.
