Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To introduce physiotherapy students to their profession and to teach basic physiotherapy concepts. |
Course Content: | Introduction; History of the profession; definition of the profession, obligations and responsibilities; Promotion of other health professionals working in the same field; The status of the profession abroad; General information about professional associations; Role and responsibilities of physiotherapy technicians in health promotion programs; Introduction of physiotherapy application areas such as electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, heat and light treatments, basic exercise knowledge; Discussions and brainstorming to enable students to have an idea of their fields through sample cases; Final evaluation of the course and the instructor. |
