Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To introduce the diseases of neurological patients who come to physiotherapy sessions and to teach how to approach the treatment of these diseases and to help the physiotherapist. |
Course Content: | Introduction of the course; Explanation and exemplification of pathological terminologies used in neurology; Definition of cerebrovascular event, subtypes and reporting of clinical features of these subtypes, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of patients with CVA; Definition, types and clinical features of spinal cord injury, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with spinal cord injury; Definition and clinical features of Parkinson's disease, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with Parkinson's disease; Definition of MS, its types and clinical features, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with MS, clinical characteristics of patients with TBI, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with TB; Definition of ALS, clinical features, roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with ALS; All types of peripheral nerve injuries, their clinical features and the roles of physiotherapy technicians in the treatment of people with peripheral nerve injury; General review and evaluation of the period. |
