Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To explain the role of occupational therapy (ergotherapy) in rehabilitation in a multidisciplinary team, to comprehend the areas of daily living activities and performance, to explain basic knowledge and application examples in the field of work and occupation.
Course Content: It includes the role of occupational therapy (ergotherapy), activities of daily living, principles of transfer techniques, general approach to sensory integration, work and occupation (ergotherapy) approaches in different clinical areas in multidisciplinary teamwork.

Program Outcomes
1) Explains the concepts and principles related to the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, physiotherapy evaluation and treatment processes, and defines the role of physiotherapy in improving and maintaining health.
2) Tells the laws, regulations and legislation regarding the professional duties, rights and responsibilities of the physiotherapist within the health system.
3) With their physiotherapy and rehabilitation knowledge, she identifies and applies appropriate measurement and evaluation methods that can determine the physical, psychological and social needs of healthy, sick and disabled individuals.
4) By analyzing and synthesizing the data obtained as a result of evaluations specific to the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, it plans, implements, makes the necessary changes and finalizes the individual-centered physiotherapy and rehabilitation program.
5) With their knowledge of the field of physiotherapy and rehabilitation, she works as a member of the team and takes responsibility in the planning and execution of professional and academic studies as part of a transdisciplinary team.
6) Adopts the ethical and legal framework in collecting, recording and reporting data during the physiotherapy and rehabilitation evaluation and treatment process.
7) By adopting the principle of lifelong learning, she uses information sources effectively, combines the new information she acquires with her existing knowledge from a critical and analytical perspective and includes it in her professional life.
8) In physiotherapy and rehabilitation evaluation and treatment processes, it uses effective communication strategies from a biopsychosocial perspective, respecting patient and human rights without discrimination of language, religion, race and culture.
9) Uses at least one foreign language effectively in order to express herself and her profession effectively in the national and international arena and to follow scientific developments.
