Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Students will examine art therapy theories and models from an international and intercultural perspective. Through readings, sharing experiences, group work, and discussion of art therapy activities, students will increase their understanding of art therapy's application in history, theory, practice, and in a variety of settings.
Course Content: Art therapy uses different forms of creative expression to help people discover and transform emotions, thoughts, and ideas. In addition to helping to process and deal with emotional issues, it can also facilitate self-awareness, understanding, recovery, and well-being. Art therapy can be particularly helpful for people who have trouble talking about their thoughts and feelings.
