Course Objectives: | To train nurses who can use the basic knowledge and principles of public health and nursing science in line with the health needs of the society, and who protect, develop and maintain the health of the individual, family and society and protect them from diseases by assuming professional nursing roles. |
Course Content: | This course focuses on protecting, maintaining and improving individual, family and community health in line with the basic knowledge and principles of public health and public health nursing science. Students taking the course gain knowledge and skills regarding the basic roles of public health nurses and their specific roles and functions in their areas of practice (family, school, workplace, elderly care and home care). |
