Course Objectives: | The history of the midwifery profession from past to present development, professional deontology, and ethical principles, it is aimed at creating professional ethics and identity. |
Course Content: | Definition of midwifery, duties, powers and responsibilities, philosophy of midwifery, development of midwifery profession from ancient times to the present, history of birth and birth control methods, pioneers who contributed to the development of midwifery profession, development of midwifery education, ethical issues in midwifery, laws, and regulations related to midwifery profession, midwifery oath. |
