Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Understanding the genome, genome sequencing, genome expression, biomedical genome and proteome reseach, protein 3D structure, protein function.
Course Content: Defining Genomes, whole genome sequencing, conserved genes in diverse species, overview of human genome, can the genome alter gene expression without changing the DNA sequence ? genomic identifications; make new vaccines, new types of antibiotics, invent new types of medications using genomic sequences, genomic variations, genetically modified organisms, DNA microarrays, proteins for different conditions, structure and function of protein, protein chips
