Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Students will acquire a relatively sophisticated understanding of research methods used by psychologists, psychiatrists, and neuroscientists. Moreover, students will complete research projects and present findings at a student conference to be held at Istanbul Atlas University. Students will learn how to generate testable hypotheses, design a protocol, collect and analyze data using SPSS, and present findings.
Course Content: Topics will include a review of Research Methods topics. Following the review, students will complete independent research projects. The instructor will provide student groups with research topics and materials. Emphasis will be placed on the use of SPSS and selecting appropriate statistical tests.
