Course Content: Introduction to theory and concept in midwifery; Vision and Mission in Midwifery; Concepts of individual, family, ethics, morality, culture, society, environment, health and disease; Midwifery: Philosophy, conceptual models, paradigm, theory; Effects of models and theories on midwifery care; Theorists in Midwifery: Reva Rubin, Ramona T. Mercer, Ela-Joy Lehrman, Jean Ball, Ernestein Wiedenbach; Approaches in developing theory in midwifery practices; Theory development stages in midwifery practices; Theory development stages in midwifery practices
