Course Objectives:

Students will have an idea about the surgical treatments of cardiovascular diseases they will encounter in primary health care, and learn the diagnosis and treatment methods of arterial-venous system diseases.

Course Content:

1. Peripheral arterial system diseases and acute arterial embolism
2. Deep vein thrombosis, venous insufficiency and lymphedema
3.Aortic dissection and aortic aneurysm
4. Cardiovascular traumas
5. Diagnosis and surgical treatment of valvular diseases
6. Surgical treatment of coronary artery diseases
7.Acyanotic congenital heart diseases and surgical treatment
8.Cyanotic congenital heart diseases and surgical treatment
9. Heart transplantation
10. Cardiopulmonary bypass, ECMO, ventricular support systems, total artificial heart.
