Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to provide basic theoretical information about human physiology. Within this information; musculoskeletal physiology, cardiovascular physiology, circulatory and respiratory system physiology, energy systems, endocrine system, uro-genital organ and birth problems, fluid electrolyte balance/cyt base balance, pain physiology information will be explained in detail. In addition, information will be given about the body's defense systems and methods of coping with stress.
Course Content: In this course, physiological functioning mechanisms of human body systems and normal and abnormal physiological conditions will be explained.

1) Learns the physiologic mechanism of the human systems
2) Learn body systems and terminology related to these systems.
3) Understands the circulatory, musculoskeletal and digestive systems.
4) Explain the physiology of sensation and pain.
5) Explain the physiology of blood.
6) Explains the body's energy systems and their use.
7) Understands the physiology of genital organs and the physiological processes related to pregnancy and birth.
8) Understand the physiology of the endocrine system.
9) Understand the excretory system and the renin-angiotensin system.
10) Understands fluid/electrolyte balance and acid-base balance, explains the evaluation methods with these systems and the basic methods used in their evaluation.

1) Describes the basic concepts of basic medical sciences and occupational therapy and the role of occupational therapy in promoting and maintaining health.
2) Describes assessment and intervention methods within the framework of occupational therapy-specific theories and models in individual and community-based interventions.
3) Analyzes activities to reduce participation restrictions in individuals' performance areas, makes environmental arrangements, plans and implements interventions and preventive approaches that will increase performance capacity.
4) Identifies and designs research needs on topics related to occupational therapy science and practice, collects data, analyzes and reports results.
5) Takes responsibility independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team within the framework of professional ethics and quality standards.
6) With the awareness of lifelong learning, they follow accurate and up-to-date information, developments in science and technology, and use the information they acquire effectively.
