Course Objectives:

The aim of this course for every student;
To recognize swallowing disorders.

Course Content:

Dysphagia; Definition, prevalence, care, team approach, Normal swallowing: anatomy and physiology, Swallowing disorder and nutrition in children and adults, Medical conditions affecting swallowing, Clinical evaluation in adults and infants, Instrumental evaluation in adults, Treatment approaches, Treatment in children, adults and geriatrics; Difficult cases, case studies; Tracheotomy, ventilator-assisted breathing and swallowing.
