Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this training is to provide the trainee students with the desired levels of clinical education in the therapies of speech and language therapy at various ages and among them.
Course Content: This course covers clinical processes and professional topics applied in the evaluation and therapy of individuals with language, speech and communication disorders. Intern students working in Therapy for Language and Speech Disorders will have experiences that allow them to gain the knowledge and skills determined for this period in order to practice this profession.

1) The trainee therapist examines and recognizes standardized and non-standardized language assessment tools, observes and records the practices of the counselor therapist. Then, for the case he received, this makes the most appropriate selection among the tools, applies it to the case and reports its features.
2) The trainee therapist develops measurable and/or descriptive therapy goals based on the client's needs and level of functioning, appropriate to the duration of the period; with the counselor therapist when necessary cooperates.
3) The trainee therapist prepares a plan that proposes appropriate approaches/methods and processes to achieve the selected goals for the case, and obtains approval from his/her counselor.
4) The trainee therapist selects, prepares and/or makes appropriate stimulating materials that will help the case achieve these goals. During the therapy session, the trainee therapist in a way that facilitates the client's learning arranges the planned activities as necessary and presents them with an appropriate timing, implements them and prepares the self-assessment report.
