Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To present basic theoretical framework techniques and technologies related to geographic information systems.
Course Content: Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Components of GIS; Functions of GIS; Geographical Data Collection and Data Sources; Geometric Data Models and Data Structures; Processing of Geometric Data; Geodatabase Models; Geodatabase Design; Structured Query Language (SQL) for Geographical Data; Spatial Analysis Techniques in GIS; GIS applications
