Course Objectives: | Interior architecture; It is the art of creating a space and atmosphere located at the intersection of architecture and art, where both aesthetic values and technical knowledge are used together. This created atmosphere is expected to be functional and also increase the quality of life of the user. For this reason, it is important that the interior designer considers many parameters that make up the space. When creating an interior space, not only the surfaces and volumes that make up that space are considered. The connection of that place with its environment and culture must also be considered. In addition, these parameters, which are the duty of the interior architecture discipline, such as the correct design of spatial organizations and their functionality, the correct selection of materials, the design of the space with the priority of natural lighting, the colors and textures used, the selection of reinforcement elements, their ergonomics, the acoustics of the space and detail solutions, must also be considered. . |
Course Content: | Within the scope of the Interior Project II course, it is aimed to solve a small-scale design problem by expecting to design a collective space. Working different functions together in the same space, rational design of spatial organizations, correct analysis of circulation between these spaces, as well as form and structure issues will be examined and the multidimensionality of the design will be underlined. During this design process, it is expected to develop a concept, emphasize the relationship between this developed concept and form, and consider analyzes such as furniture, lighting and details related to the space. |
