Course Objectives: |
This course teaches students the basic concepts of design and abstract thinking using the concepts of plastic arts. |
Course Content: |
In this course, design elements and design principles will be introduced to students. All the basic design notion acquired through the development of creativity through basic design elements and design concepts will be transferred to design problems. Topics to be taught during this course include; design elements (point, line, plane), basic design principles, planar relations (horizontal, vertical), space definitions (open, semi-open, closed, nested) together with color, texture, form, proportion-proportion, scale, balance, rhythm, harmony, space-fullness, light-shadow etc. There are topics such as |
