Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Starting from prehistoric times until the Renaissance period, analyses are made on the movements and works that have taken place in the history of art. With these analyses, it is aimed to provide the student with the ability to interpret the relationship between social, historical and cultural variables and art.
Course Content: Following the terminological and methodological definitions of the science of art history, painting, sculpture, architectural works and art institutions produced from the Palaeolithic Age to the Renaissance Period are discussed through examples.

4) Uses knowledge from other scientific fields that are related to visual communication and design, and does this in a coordinated manner.
5) Manages effective communication activities by determining unique values in traditional and new media in line with social values.
6) The involvement in the professional sphere of Visual Communication and Design has been shown to facilitate the development of the ability to think, design, analyse and apply the knowledge acquired.
7) Develops advanced expertise and professionalism in the design project development process.
8) Students learn to interpret data, evaluate it critically, identify problems, analyse them, plan processes based on research and evidence, and solve communication design problems.
