Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To define the concept of orthosis and prosthesis, to distinguish the materials used in the construction of orthoses and prostheses, to list lower extremity orthoses and their indications, to create occupational therapy intervention in amputee and prosthesis rehabilitation, to plan and implement return to profession and psychosocial adaptation programs within the scope of prosthesis rehabilitation, to improve the functionality of individuals in daily life and with prosthesis. Course Content: Within the scope of this course, basic biomechanical principles of orthoses, material information, lower extremity orthoses, amputations, prostheses used in upper and lower extremity prostheses, occupational therapy principles before and after amputation will be covered.
