Course Objectives: | This course aims to explain basic statistical methods to students about collecting and processing data in the fields of health sciences and biology, choosing the right statistical methods to make decisions about society, and interpreting the results correctly. In other words, it is to teach which method can be applied to which problem. |
Course Content: | Definition of Statistics and Biostatistics, Use of Statistics in Health Sciences and studies on this subject. Basic concepts Frequency Distributions and Descriptive Measures (Central Tendency and Dispersion Measures) Tables and Graphs Probability and Probability Distributions Hypothesis Tests Parametric Tests (Hypothesis Tests for Population Mean, Confidence Interval for Population Mean) Nonparametric Tests Chi-Square Test, Correlation Coefficients and Correlation Sampling and Sampling Methods Simple and Multiple Regression Analysis |
