Course Objectives: | The main purpose of the Volunteering Studies course is to strengthen the ties between the university and the society by using the knowledge, skills and experience that students have acquired throughout their education life; humanitarian, social, economic, etc. To help them gain awareness about various issues and problems, especially migration and disasters, disabled people and disadvantaged groups. In this direction, to raise awareness in the society on issues of high social sensitivity such as disability, migration and disasters, through some volunteering activities they will participate in and carry out; thus, it will enable students to take part in voluntary work for a period of time in a volunteering field of their choice -within a plan to be prepared in advance- and to share their results. |
Course Content: | Volunteering is when a person performs activities for the benefit of other individuals, society, environment or animals without expecting any financial return.
