Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: Theoretical teaching of basic scientific principles and clinical applications in the field of stem cells and regenerative biology with current references, and demonstration of basic application techniques in this field through videos and animations. Thus, it is aimed to create the necessary infrastructure to conduct scientific research aimed at treating diseases with stem cell-based cellular or drugs.
Course Content: The couse includes, stem cell and regenerative biology; roles of stem cells in tissue repair, biological and medical applications in this field; molecular, cellular and potential therapeutic properties of embryonic and adult stem cells in different organisms; development of new treatments for various diseases by stem cell transplantation; gene therapy in stem cells; induced pluripotent stem cells and cellular therapy, cancer stem cells, stem cell life cycle, stem cell metabolism.
