Course Objectives: | This course, in the light of advancing medical opportunities, developing treatment methods and drug options; 1. To gain knowledge on the definition and content of the concept of physician and patient rights. 2. To provide information on the protection of physician and patient rights within the framework of national and international legislation and 3. It aims to examine the physician and patient's right to self-determination within the scope of comparative law. |
Course Content: | The formation, definition and content of the concept of physician and patient rights will be explained; Among the basic physician and patient rights, the right to access health services, the right to self-determination, the right to be informed, the right to privacy and the right to apply will be discussed. In particular, the concept of informed consent within the scope of the patient's right to self-determination, the right to life, the concept of human dignity, and the right to privacy and protection of private life, which are instrumental in the realization of this right, will be examined within the framework of patient rights. |
