Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The importance of energy and macro-micro nutrients (carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals and water) in healthy nutrition and body functioning, the importance of food groups in healthy nutrition and body functioning, the definition of chronic diseases such as obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and the place of nutrition in treatment, basic information about sports nutrition and the importance of nutrients.

Course Content: This course includes the importance of carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, vitamins, minerals and water in healthy nutrition, chemical structure, properties, classification, functions, sources, daily intake recommendations, excessive intake status, obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, nutrition in chronic diseases such as diabetes, sports nutrition.

1) Explains the concepts and principles related to the field of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, physiotherapy assessment and treatment processes, defines the role of physiotherapy in the development and maintenance of health.
2) Tells the laws, regulations and legislation regarding the professional duties, rights and responsibilities of the physiotherapist within the health system.
3) Determines and applies the needs of healthy, sick and disabled individuals with appropriate measurement and evaluation methods using the knowledge of physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
