Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: This course aims to make the data of the processes such as registration, evaluation, application and finalization of the practices of occupational therapists an up-to-date resource and data by creating them in an accurate and universal way.
Course Content: AOTA guidelines, state licensing law and public health code, third party reimbursement guidelines and regulations, privacy, and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Client case studies will be used to gather information in OT assessments, response plans, long and short term goals / objectives, intervention notes, and discontinuation summaries. Problem-Based Medical Record (POMR) will be introduced and intervention note formats will be presented using the OT application framework. This course focuses on competence-based learning and clinical judgment to describe occupational therapy problems, goals, interventions, and outcomes.
