Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To determine the situations deviating from normal in the birth and postpartum period and to teach the knowledge and skills necessary for appropriate interventions to be taught conceptually and practically.
Course Content: This course is composed of physiological,
teaches the psychosocial changes and the roles of the midwife, mother and fetus in the delivery of labor, and the physical psychosocial health of the mother and newborn in the postnatal period.

1) Will be able to explain the physiology and stages of normal labor and the diseases that may occur in the mother.
2) Will be able to apply the initiatives that will provide the comfort of the mother in labor and prepare the mother for the birth.
3) Will be able to apply the necessary care to the mother during labor, evaluate the mother and fetal health
4) Will be able to deliver the baby and the placenta and meet the care needs of the newborn.
5) Define the postpartum period and evaluate the mother physically and emotionally and the baby physically in the early period
6) Will be able to do applications to increase the health of the mother in the postpartum period.
