Course Objectives: | To learn sterilization and disinfection in dentistry. |
Course Content: | 1. Microorganisms, infection and inflammation, 2. Infections associated with dentistry, infectious diseases-cross infections, transmission routes, 3. What are the important infectious diseases in dentistry? 4. Cleaning in dental units, daily, weekly and monthly maintenance of the units, 5. Hand hygiene, general sterilization methods, 6. Sterilization control steps, sterilization process stages, observation of sterilization, 7. Sterilization, methods used for instrument and material sterilization in oral and dental health centers. 8. Disinfection and sterilization in prosthetic dentistry, 9. Preparing instruments for sterilization in dentistry, 10. Most frequently preferred instrument cleaning methods, 11.
