General Information

Sterilization and Disinfection processes are vital and indispensable processes in the health sector. Hospital infections carry a great burden not only for patients but also for staff. With effective sterilization and disinfection, both the incidence of hospital infections will be reduced and the spread of resistant microorganisms will be prevented. For this purpose, the personnel working in the Central Sterilization Units, which serve twenty-four hours in hospitals, are given great duties and responsibilities. With the Disinfection, Sterilization and Antisepsis Program, it is aimed to train students who have theoretical and technical education in basic and application areas, and to ensure that students have knowledge about research and development and applications, as well as reaching the level of basic knowledge. The purpose of the Disinfection, Sterilization and Antisepsis program is to train students who have sufficient theoretical knowledge in their fields, who have gained experience with their internships and who have work discipline.
