Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: With this course, it is aimed that students learn the types and characteristics of bacteria, viruses, fungi and how the tests used in their diagnosis are applied, which antimicrobial drugs are used in the treatment, basic information about parasitology, hospital infections, sterilization and disinfection methods.
Course Content: Properties of Gram (+) and Gram (-) cocci, their diseases, examination materials, tests used in diagnosis. Characteristics of Gram (-) coccobacillus and Gram (-) non-fermentative bacteria, their diseases, examination materials, tests used in diagnosis. Enterobacteriaceae, spiral and curved rods, Gram (-) anaerobic bacteria, Gram (+) bacilli, Mycobacteriaceae, Spirochetes, Rickettsia, Chlamydia characteristics, their diseases, examination materials, diagnostic tests. Basic information about mycology, virology and parasitology and hospital infections. Sterilization and disinfection methods
