Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives:

By examining the philosophy and basic concepts of midwifery; By considering family and society with a holistic approach, associating them with concepts and theories related to the midwifery profession, basing them on scientific and ethical foundations, and ensuring that initiatives are taken to develop, protect and heal health in line with the needs of the country, in case of illness, and to take into account the roles of practitioner, researcher, manager, educator and coordinator. To enable students to acquire and develop cognitive, affective and psychomotor skills.

Course Content:

This lesson; midwifery profession and its development, basic professional concepts, individual and professional responsibilities; It provides knowledge about the connections between the basic concepts of midwifery, coping with stress, basic human needs, care models, psychosocial concepts, daily life activities, health care system, the roles of the health team and the midwife, ethics in midwifery, and the care process. Skills related to data collection for health diagnostics, asepsis, patient movement and body mechanics, patient unit, hygiene, infection control.
