Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is to enable students to understand psychoanalytic theories and concepts and to demonstrate how these theories can be examined through cinema. Furthermore, developing the skills to analyze cinematic films from a psychoanalytic perspective is also a goal of the course.
Course Content: The course covers the basic concepts of psychoanalysis, psychoanalytic film theory, theories of Freud and Lacan, and how concepts such as dreams, desire, and the unconscious are processed in cinema. Additionally, the course will focus on character analysis, symbolic elements in films, and narrative techniques.
