Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: To give information to optician students about contact lenses and their usage areas.
Course Content: Definition of contact lens, its relation with the cornea to which it is applied, examinations required for contact lenses and optical properties and principles of contact lenses, the purpose of using contact lenses, the desired properties of contact lenses, comparison of contact lenses with glasses, hard contact lenses, soft contact lenses, hydrogel lenses, silicone lenses, hydride contact lenses, disposable contact lenses, theropathic contact lenses, aphakic contact lenses, contact lenses in pediatric ophthalmology, cleaning solutions, rinsing solution contents, disinfectants, soaking solutions, lens containers and other materials, usage areas, cosmetics and contact lenses, adaptation symptoms, toxic-infectious-allergic and other complications of contact lenses, rules to be followed about contact lenses, manipulation of contact lenses.
