Dersin Amaç ve İçeriği

Course Objectives: The aim of this course is; Optician business concept and development, the books that opticians must keep, store management concept, store management terms, organizational structures of stores, human resources and financial management in stores, product diversity, stock management, promotion and advertising activities in stores.
Course Content: It includes feasibility studies and opening processes, laws and regulations, contracts, automation systems and records, operating cost, store arrangement, sales techniques and communication.

1) Defines all the basic concepts in the field of optician business management.
2) Identifies, defines and offers solutions to problems related to store management.

Week Subject Related Preparation
1) Field analysis, capital, cultural and regional values
2) Opening conditions of opticianry establishments, required documents and physical conditions of the establishments, the devices and equipment they should have and licensing procedures
3) Duties, responsibilities and business fields in optician's establishments, laws and regulations, inspections and audits, prescription content and other responsibilities.
4) Analysis, penal and legal responsibilities of contracts with SSI and official institutions that determine the suitability of the services they purchase and the payment terms.
5) Commercial printed documents that opticians need to know due to commercial responsibilities
6) Personnel contracts and termination, start-up and dismissal processes, labor law, job security and personnel training
7) Prescription Registry, Contact Lens Registry and related regulations, proper record keeping.
8) Midterms
9) Recording the prescription in the Inspection Book, the articles of the relevant regulation, proper record keeping.
10) Glass price lists and the importance of the optician for field dominance. Informing about special glass orders, coatings and indices from the supplier.
11) Calculating the product price in real form by calculating the operating cost correctly.
12) Visibility of products in the store, the effect of color and lighting in the store.
13) Analyzing result-oriented, motivating and active sales techniques, as well as customer behavior and preferences, and getting results, covering the necessary basic sales techniques.
