Course Objectives: | The aim of this course is; To inform students about the interaction of light and light with material media, polarization, optical defects, optical systems and optical instruments. |
Course Content: | Basic laws of electromagnetic theory, electromagnetic spectrum and radiation, wave and particle property of light, wave and its properties, laws of reflection and refraction, lenses, mirrors, prisms, optical systems, analytical ray drawing, interference and diffraction of light and optical defects. |
