Course Objectives:

The aim of this course is; Understanding the duties and responsibilities of the optician, the place and position of optician and optometry education at national and international level, the historical development of the profession, national and international organizations related to the optic and optometric professions, terms and abbreviations used in the optician profession, equipment and materials used in optician institutions, To provide information about the basic features and types of eyeglass lenses.

Course Content:

The history of the eye and seeing; law, regulation and deontology; refraction; covers spectacle frames and optical lenses, contact lenses and materials used in opticians.
