Course Objectives: | To provide students with basic exercise knowledge and to have knowledge about therapeutic exercise use. |
Course Content: | Introduction, purpose and objectives of the course; Introduction to basic exercise knowledge; Cellular and systemic effects of exercise on human body, its indications and contraindications; Usage purposes of joint range of motion exercises, application of these exercises for each extremity and joint; Uses and types of strengthening exercises and application of strengthening exercises for different muscles of the body; Uses of stretching exercises and application of stretching exercises for different muscles of the body; Usage purposes of relaxation exercises, application of stretching exercises; Aerobic exercise knowledge, examples of common aerobic exercises; Balance and coordination exercises knowledge, examples of common balance and coordination exercises. |
