Course Objectives: | To give information about surgical diseases, to classify the diseases that are included in invasive interventions and to introduce their characteristics, to teach the basis of diseases of all operations performed in the field of surgery |
Course Content: | Introduction to Surgery (History of Surgery, Situations Requiring Surgery, Classification of Surgery, Effect of Surgery on the Patient), Basic Theoretical Concepts in Surgery (homeostasis, pain, anxiety, surgical asepsis), Reactions of the Body to Trauma (Inflammation, Types of Wounds, Incision Types, Wound healing, Factors affecting wound healing), Preoperative Period, Intraoperative Period, Postoperative Period, Cardiovascular System Diseases and Surgical Instruments, Thoracic Surgery Diseases |
